Understanding Dementia and Supporting Those in Your Care

Description

The 89th Texas Legislature passed House Bill 3376, adding Section 155.204(a)(2) to the Texas Government Code. This law requires certain Guardians to complete training on Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and related disorders.

The training is required for anyone who serves as guardian of the person, the estate, or both for a ward who is age 60 or older, or for a ward under age 60 who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or a related condition.

Watching this training video fulfills the training requirement. After watching the video, you must complete a form certifying that you have viewed the entire video. Once the form is completed, you will be able to print a certificate of completion to file with the court.
